CHICAGO (AP) — It's a toothy giant that can grow longer than a horse and heavier than a refrigerator, a fearsome-looking prehistoric fish that plied U.S. waters from the Gulf of Mexico to Illinois until it disappeared from many states a half-century ago.
Persecuted by anglers and deprived of places to spawn, the alligator gar — with a head that resembles an alligator and two rows of needlelike teeth — 

Tuesday, August 2nd Hops and Crafts will serve the Red Jam and the Lemon Lime Basil Kölsch in the award winning Craft Master One glassware. One glass per person. We'll be there to talk about the current and upcoming beer releases. Hope you can make it!

This Thursday, July 14th The Filling Station will feature Garr's Beer Co.!  We will be serving the Lemon Lime Basil Kölsch in the award winning Craft Master One Glass from Rastal. You'll get to keep the glass when you try this perfect summer patio beer.  The Kölsch is a bright, clean, refreshing beer with delicate notes of lemon, lime, and hops on the nose.  We look forward to talking about the beer, seeing old friends and making new ones!

The pint night will be at different times at both locations: From 5-7pm at the 12th South location, and from 6:30-8:30pm at the East Nashville location. One glass per person, of course.

Craft Brewer Garr Schwartz Aims to Re-Enter the Nashville Market With Gypsy Brews

​You might remember Garr Schwartz as one of the founders and the original master brewer at Tennessee Brew Works, where he earned a reputation for developing extremely food-friendly beers that featured  culinary ingredients such as lime zest and roasted sweet potatoes. Schwartz left TBW a while back to head in a different direction and has recently emerged with a plan to release his own line of brews under the Garr's Beer Co. label.

While he doesn't have a new brewery yet, there is a tradition...

The Lemon Lime Basil Kölsch was kegged yesterday! Arriving in Nashville tomorrow! Our rollout party will be next week. Details coming soon!

Garr's Beer Co. Is celebrating the birth of our country in our Nation's capital with the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Kegging and brewing beer too, of course!
